Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking an Install Engineer to perform installation, calibration, and commissioning of complex electro/mechanical equipment at customer sites. You will work under the Ramp Manager to ensure efficient, safe deployments and high customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years in field service or installation, BS in a technical discipline, and travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in electronics, mechanical, or related technical discipline, or equivalent military/technical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in field service, installation, or technical support.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure complex electro/mechanical equipment and software at customer sites.
• Support ramp activities and meet installation schedules.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and startup.
• Collaborate with Ramp Manager and field teams to meet schedules and milestones.
• Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Perform system validation, calibration, and testing to confirm readiness.
• Document installation activities, issues, and resolutions per company processes.
• Provide feedback to engineering and product teams to improve procedures and performance.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory for installation activities.
• Support customer interactions during installation and ensure professional representation.
