Job summary

Solutech is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 to perform on-site and in-house service, repair, and installation of medical device systems. You will diagnose issues, provide technical support to customers, and maintain detailed service records.

This role requires strong electro-mechanical knowledge, PC skills, and excellent customer communication. Candidates must be able to travel domestically and internationally, lift heavy equipment, and complete onboarding training.

Qualifications

• Experience with electro-mechanical engineering and testing equipment.
• Proficient with PC-based systems and debugging.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Fluent English; good written and verbal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot software and network issues.
• Capable of diagnosing mechanical problems and imaging defects.
• Willing to complete onboarding/training.
• Familiar with MS Office tools (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site or in-house service, repair, or installation of company-serviced products and systems.
• Provide technical support to customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Serve as primary customer contact for technical issues.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures.
• Determine cost-effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
• Prepare reports analyzing failure trends and service issues.
• Provide phone/remote support to achieve timely resolutions.
• Maintain spare parts for assigned customers and replenish kits as needed.
• Record service visits with detailed notes and parts used in systems.
• Keep technical documentation up to date for all products.
• Uphold safety and professional standards during all activities.
• Report activity via Salesforce/e-mail/expense reports for data accuracy.
