Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation seeks an experienced Technical Service and Site Engineer II to install, troubleshoot, and maintain our automation equipment across North America. You will train customers and employees, perform electrical, mechanical, and electronic repairs, and estimate project needs for medium-scale deployments.

You will interpret drawings, coordinate with site teams, and lead subcontractors on projects up to $3M while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• BS technical degree in electrical, mechanical or automation engineering, or equivalent.
• 2–5 years’ experience in material handling and conveyor engineering is desirable.
• 2–5 years’ experience in construction or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong PLC programming skills in a hands-on field construction environment desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment; train employees and customers.
• Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs and part replacements.
• Identify product failures and recommend solutions.
• Prepare bid documents and facilitate meetings with subcontractors (up to $3M).
• Create customer quotes and negotiate with customers on projects (up to $3M).
• Interpret engineering drawings and assist installation teams through acceptance.
• Estimate for small and medium projects; manage project schedules and site activities.
• Interface with on-site project teams and design teams to resolve issues.
• Supervise associates and skilled trades as required.
