Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation seeks an experienced Technical Service Engineer II to install, troubleshoot, and maintain specialized automation equipment across North America. The role includes training customers and staff, performing electrical and mechanical repairs, and estimating project needs.

The candidate will interpret engineering drawings, lead site activities, and coordinate with subcontractors on projects up to $3M. Travel to US, Canada, or Mexico is required.

Qualifications

• Two to Five years' experience in material handling and conveyor engineering for the automotive industry is desirable.
• Two to Five years' experience in a construction or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment; train employees and customers.
• Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs; diagnose product failures.
• Order and replace parts; determine best products, systems, or services for customers.
• Interpret drawings; assist installation crews during project phases; ensure final acceptance.
• Create bid documents, facilitate meetings with subcontractors on projects up to $3M.
• Create customer quotes and estimations for small and medium projects; manage schedules.
• Travel to job sites in the US, Canada, or Mexico; supervise associates as needed.
• Interface with customers to gather requirements and translate to technical specs.
