Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to perform on-time preventive maintenance across modalities and to learn troubleshooting with senior engineers. The role is remote with onsite work at customer locations in Virginia—Richmond or Virginia Beach—while occasional days from a home office may occur.

Candidate must reside in the Richmond, VA or Virginia Beach, VA area and be willing to work after hours or on-call.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or military equivalent.
• Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-time and accurate Preventive Maintenance (PM) and assist with installation.
• Help troubleshoot and repair equipment under supervision and learn from more experienced engineers.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain service logs, order parts, and manage cycle times.
• Follow GEHC quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
