Job summary

GE HealthCare's Field Service team in the Philadelphia Metro and Southern New Jersey area seeks a Field Engineer 1 to perform on-time preventive maintenance across modalities and support installation and basic troubleshooting. You will learn from experienced engineers both onsite and remotely, contributing to customer satisfaction through service excellence.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to work after hours

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering or related field (or military education).
Experience with Electrical Systems and AC/DC Currents.
Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Willingness for after-hours/on-call work, including weekends when needed.
US work authorization; no visa sponsorship capability.

Responsibilities

Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and ISIs.
Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
Perform basic troubleshooting and service repair with guidance.
Communicate effectively with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
Identify value-added services to help customers run their business more efficiently.
Maintain service logs, order parts, and manage cycle times.
