Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to perform on-time preventative maintenance and assist with installation and basic troubleshooting of medical equipment. The role is remote but mainly onsite at customer locations, requiring residency in the Richmond, VA or Virginia Beach area.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree or related military education, have experience with web apps and Microsoft Office, and can obtain U.S. work authorization and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent military education; or HS diploma with 4+ years in servicing electronic equipment.
• Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office required.
• Must have or be able to obtain legal work authorization in the U.S. and a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-time preventative maintenance, FMIs and ISIs on designated equipment.
• Assist experienced field engineers with installation and basic troubleshooting.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
