Job summary

EMSAR is seeking a Field Service Engineer I for Sacramento, CA. You will perform testing, calibration, preventative maintenance, installation and repair on laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, kiosk equipment, and UPS/distribution gear.

You will establish strong customer communication, manage work orders in the CMMS, and adhere to EMSAR quality standards while maintaining safety and professionalism on site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 2-4 years’ technical experience; valid driver license and liability insurance; ability to drive personal, fleet and/or rental vehicles.
• Associate degree or higher and/or trade school degree; 1+ years technical experience; valid driver license and liability insurance; ability to drive personal, fleet and/or rental vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site preventive maintenance, repairs, verifications, calibrations, and software/hardware upgrades on EMSAR equipment.
• Establishes and maintains communication with customers to ensure visibility of service status.
• Manages assigned work orders and documents work in EMSAR’s CMMS.
• Maintains safety practices and professional appearance; uses tools and equipment properly.
• May operate onsite at the client facility and support entry-level technicians.
• Follows client quality requirements and EMSAR quality processes.
