Job summary

Equipment Management Service and Repair – EMSAR seeks a Field Service Engineer I to perform testing, calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of laboratory, medical, kiosk, and power equipment. You will work as a client-facing representative delivering high-quality service across EMSAR’s range of instruments and systems.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of technical experience, a high school diploma or higher, and a valid driver’s license.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills to build internal/external relationships.
• Ability to prioritize, plan activities, and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, verifications, calibrations, and software/hardware upgrades.
• Establishes and maintains communication with customers for visibility of operations.
• Support and service work at an intermediate engineer level.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with services provided.
• Follow EMSAR quality practices and vendor requirements.
• Manage work orders and document activities in CMMS.
• Provide timely reporting on service status and escalations.
• Maintain professional appearance and proper use of tools/equipment.
• Safely handle EMSAR assets and equipment.
• Collaborate with dispatch for assignments and team members.
• Work in a safe environment following safety procedures.
• May operate onsite at client facilities.
• May train entry-level technicians.
