Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Field Service Engineer I to provide on-site and remote support for analytical instrumentation within assigned territories. You will install, calibrate, and maintain instruments while troubleshooting complex issues and building strong customer relationships.

Role requires mechanical, electrical, and software aptitude, with travel across the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for troubleshooting.
• Experience reading technical documentation and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Thermo Scientific instrumentation on-site.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, optical, and software issues.
• Travel to customer sites and provide on-site training as needed.
• Document service activities and maintain tools and parts.
