We are seeking Field Service Engineers to support nationwide customers.

*Must be willing to travel to Japan 1-3 months after hire date to participate in a 2-year training program.*

The Mission of a Field Service Engineer is to install, modify, and service complex semiconductor industry high vacuum equipment and systems, as well as evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues related to such installations and servicing of company products at all types of customer field sites. The role provides a wide range of technical assistance to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project completion. Additionally, the engineer will ensure that business operations align with company goals.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including on-site installations, upgrades, retrofits, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs, and debugging of electronic and mechanical systems. Provide operational, maintenance, and training support to customers and colleagues.
• Recommend equipment modifications or process improvements to enhance performance.
• Submit necessary documentation timely, including timesheets, expense reports, and field service reports, adhering to company policies.
• Maintain technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and software systems. Participate in continuing education as required.
• Mentor less-experienced field service engineers.
• Handle customer service issues to maintain high customer satisfaction, including managing orders, complaints, and service inquiries.
