Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour, DOE

We are seeking Field Service Engineers to support nationwide customers.

*Must be willing to travel to Japan 1-3 months after hire date to participate in a 2-year training program.*

The Mission of a Field Service Engineer is to install, modify and service complex semiconductor industry high vacuum equipment and systems, as well as evaluate, troubleshoot and resolve design issues related to such installations and servicing of company products at all types of customer field sites. The role also involves providing a wide range of technical assistance to customers and employees to ensure the accomplishment of work assignments and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the engineer will help ensure that the business operates in line with company goals.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including on-site installations, upgrades, retrofits, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical systems. Provide operational, maintenance, and proper use training to customers and staff.
• Recommend equipment modifications or improvements to enhance operation and performance.
• Submit all necessary documentation promptly, including timesheets, expense reports, and field service reports, adhering to company policies.
• Maintain technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and software systems. Participate in continuing education as required.
• Contribute to training less-experienced engineers.
• Handle customer service issues to ensure high satisfaction and maintain good customer relations.
