Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, diagnose, and repair vacuum systems and related equipment at customer sites.

The role requires daily in-office visits in Phoenix, travel up to 20–30% nationally and internationally, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills. AAS/AS or higher preferred, with 5+ years of experience in field service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree and/or applicable Certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of related practical experience.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills with new electrical, mechanical and vacuum systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20–30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• System installation, diagnose and repair vacuum systems and related equipment at customer sites.
• Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the systems.
• Travel to customer sites for support, installation, and training as needed.
