Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support high tech vacuum products in Phoenix, AZ. This role covers installation, diagnostics, repairs, and customer training for scientific and industrial systems.

You will travel 20-30% to customer sites, perform on-site service, and collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure systems operate at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of related practical experience in field service or similar roles.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills with electrical, mechanical and vacuum systems.

Responsibilities

• System installation, diagnosis and repair of reactive gas generators and vacuum equipment.
• Maintain operational functionality of scientific and industrial vacuum systems.
• Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the systems.
• Serve as interface with customer and factory on administrative and technical matters.
• Determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Travel to customer sites; potential for shift, weekend and on-call coverage.
