Job summary

EquipNet seeks a Field Service Engineer to support Hamilton and Tecan liquid handling systems for biotech, pharma, and clinical labs. The role combines onsite work at our Cerritos warehouse with remote support and client-site service, requiring local presence in Cerritos, CA.

Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and software issues, performing refurbishments, IQ/OQ/PQ support, installation, and validation of workcells.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical engineering, robotics, life sciences, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of field service or technical support with Hamilton/Tecan liquid handling systems in biotech/pharma/clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote, on-site, and in-facility technical support for Hamilton and Tecan liquid handling systems.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and application issues including robotics and peripherals.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to meet manufacturer specs and regulatory standards.
• Refurbish and recondition Hamilton and Tecan systems at the Cerritos facility and at client sites as needed.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ, installation, and validation of new workcells.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation scripts (Hamilton Venus, Tecan EVOware/FluentControl).
• Provide training to laboratory personnel on operation and maintenance.
• Maintain service logs and compliance records; coordinate with engineering and support teams.
• Travel to client sites up to 25% as required.
