Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Engineer to perform on-site and remote fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems as part of the Global Service Team. The role emphasizes exceptional technical aptitude with server products and strong interpersonal skills to support a world-class field engineering organization.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field, experience with X86 systems, and solid hardware diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• Experience servicing complex X86 systems and parts is required.
• Windows and Linux environments experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of server hardware in enterprise environments.
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and manage repair/parts cycles.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers/distributors and collaborate with TAM/Service/Product teams.
• Produce fault triage information and training materials when needed.
• Travel to field sites up to 25% and train new service engineers.
