Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Representative to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and service support for IEM equipment. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, independent work, and the ability to guide entry-level technicians in the field.

You will coordinate with project teams, document actions, and travel to client sites up to 75%, while upholding safety standards and delivering high-quality service for power distribution systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems preferred.
• 1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, clients, and internal teams.
• Analyze system failures and determine corrective actions for moderately complex issues.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, and networking equipment.
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, and follow-up items.
• Assist with training and mentoring Field Service Technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
