Job summary

Tosoh Bioscience, Inc. in New York is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site service and remote support for Tosoh instrumentation across a designated territory.

The role requires travel up to 65% (overnight and air) and living in the service area; you will install, troubleshoot, repair and schedule maintenance of Tosoh instruments, ensuring compliance with FDA/ISO quality systems. You will work with the Instrument Service Center, document activities, and coordinate travel

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years field service support of medical equipment or equivalent experience.
• An associate degree in electronics, military technical training, or equivalent education.
• Must have and maintain valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be proficient in Windows 7/8/10 operating software and Microsoft Office.
• Able to read and interpret electronic schematics, fluidic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using a digital multimeter, basic soldering skills, and other general electronic technician competencies.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to understand and resolve instrument issues.
• Willingness to travel up to 65%, including overnight and air travel.
• Experience in FDA/ISO regulated medical device industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and schedule maintenance on Tosoh instruments.
• Overnight and air travel required; travel frequency varies by business needs.
• Provide cross coverage for other FSE territories & customers as needed.
• Complete all administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage trunk stock parts inventory and documentation per policy.
• Comply with servicing procedures and quality systems requirements.
• Collaborate with Instrument Service Center personnel in remanufacturing of Tosoh instruments.
• Arrange travel (Hotels, air) for Tosoh customers.
• Perform other duties as prescribed by service management.
