Job summary

Diasorin is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service customers in preventive maintenance, retrofits, troubleshooting and repair with minimal supervision. The role focuses on instrument reliability and timely issue resolution to support patient diagnostics.

Ideal candidates have an AA degree in a related field, 2+ years in biomedical equipment or field service, and strong communication skills. Travel and a valid driver's license are required; on-site work in the Austin area is common.

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Laboratory Technician, Electronics, Engineering Technician or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as Biomedical Equipment/Field Service Technician or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting with manufacturer manuals and minimal support.
• Knowledge of cgMPs and GLP practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support for instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and repair with minimal assistance.
• Receive information from Manager, Technical Service and Logistics regarding customer instrumentation.
• Maintain customer, applications and sales communications.
• Perform instrument installations and instrument retrofit installations.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware/software issues and ensure safe operation.
