Job summary

KLA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers in the Phoenix, AZ area. You will diagnose and repair complex equipment, travel to sites, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service excellence.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience and a customer-first mindset. Local travel around 20% is expected; office is in Phoenix, AZ, USA.

Qualifications

• Master’s Level Degree or work experience of 2 years.
• Bachelor’s Level Degree or work experience of 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site.
• Repairs system level problems at customer sites.
• Represents the company to the customer and ensures customer happiness with service.
• Assures operational quality of system equipment and coordinates actions with customers to minimize downtime.
• Provides assistance to Installation Engineer in resolving problems.
• Prepares field service reports and documents issues for support functions.
• Builds positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
• Contributes to knowledge capture and improvement of processes.
• Manages return materials authorization (RMA) processes for timely service.
