Job summary

Russelectric, a Siemens business, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support critical power facilities across Ohio (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati). The role involves startup of automatic transfer switches, warranty work, and on-call service.

You will travel up to 80% and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. Candidates should have 3+ years in field service engineering, strong electrical power knowledge, ability to read schematics, and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in Field Service Engineering or related.
• Electrical power experience from low to medium voltage switchgear.
• Experience with automatic transfer switch testing.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints for power control & automation.
• Familiarity with codes and industry standards.
• Strong client interaction skills and on-time project delivery.
• Excellent decision making, organization, and management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support critical power facilities with automatic transfer switch startups, modifications, warranties, and emergency calls.
• Travel up to 80% to Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati areas.
• Provide technical support for field startups, warranty work, repairs, and preventive maintenance contracts.
• Supervise safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with clients in a highly customer‑service oriented manner; negotiate extra charges when needed.
• Work in strict accordance with regulatory laws.
