Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Charlotte, NC area to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain high-tech CMM machines at customer sites. You will provide technical expertise and training on operation and upkeep while supporting cross-functional teams to implement customer feedback.

You will travel regionally, work independently, and complete service reports to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment is essential.
• Microsoft Windows operating system knowledge required.
• Mechanical, electrical and software troubleshooting skills are highly desired.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently are essential.
• Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs and traveling regularly within the territory.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are important.
• Prior experience with CMM machines or other industrial automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain high-tech CMM machines at customer locations.
• Provide technical expertise and training to customers on machine operation and upkeep.
• Support product innovation by collaborating with R&D and technical teams to implement customer feedback.
• Work independently in a dynamic environment while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Accurately complete service reports and provide feedback to improve services.
• Travel regionally for customer engagements (as needed).
• Lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and work 40+ hours weekly as required.
