VRB Energy seeks a Field Service Engineer/Technician to lead commissioning, startup, and ongoing maintenance of vanadium redox flow battery demonstration systems across project sites in the U.S. You will be the on-site technical presence, validating performance and ensuring safe, reliable operation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field (or an associated degree with 5+ years hands-on field service), plus strong knowledge of DC systems, SCADA/BMS, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with hands-on field service experience in electrical/power systems.
• 3+ years (or 5+ years with associate degree/tech cert) in commissioning or maintenance of electrochemical/electrical systems.
• Experience with flow battery or fuel-cell systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead commissioning of vanadium flow battery demonstration systems, including electrolyte prep, stack energization, BMS setup, and integration testing.
• Monitor system performance via SCADA/BMS, perform preventive maintenance on stacks, pumps, heat exchangers, and piping.
• Diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, and electrochemical subsystems and document issues.
• Develop commissioning checklists, procedures, and safety protocols for field systems.
• Create commissioning reports, O&M manuals, and troubleshooting guides; maintain logs and service records.
