Job summary

Rigaku is seeking a field service engineer to install, maintain and repair analytical X-ray equipment and related devices across the US. The role requires extensive travel Monday through Friday, with some weekends possible. Compensation includes a salary plus incentive programs and travel reimbursements.

Candidates should have a B.S. degree (or equivalent), at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills to interact with scientists and engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electro-mechanical and/or electronic equipment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Basic understanding of network interfacing.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• General understanding of analog electronics, high voltage circuitry/circuits, laser technology, and high vacuum systems.
• Willingness to travel; passport/VISA for international travel as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use small hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and basic service on systems.
• Troubleshoot on-site using DVM and diagnose issues.
• Qualify instrument after service by running Verifications.
• Coordinate travel and generate expense reports.
• Secure customer acceptance of PM or repair.
• Coordinate WebEx sessions, phone support, and site inspections.
• Attend Rigaku product training and communicate with service centers.
