Job summary

Rigaku Americas Corp. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service analytical X-ray equipment across the U.S. Based in the Albany, NY area, you may travel to customer locations to install, calibrate, and repair instruments.

You will troubleshoot electronic and mechanical issues, train customers on alignment and operation, and submit detailed service and expense reports. Some international travel may be required to Rigaku factories for learning new techniques.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Valid Passport required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for governmental facilities.
• Previous Thin Film and Metrology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair analytical X-ray equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical problems.
• Install system software as needed for equipment applications.
• Provide customer training on the alignment and use of their Analytical Systems.
• Submit service reports and weekly expense reports.
• Domestic travel; international travel may be required to learn new techniques.
