Job summary

Rigaku Americas Corp. is seeking a field service technician based in the Albany, NY area to service analytical X-ray equipment across the United States. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, and customer training, with potential international travel to learn new techniques.

Required qualifications include an associate degree in electronics engineering, a valid driver's license, and a valid passport. Security clearance may be required; prior service experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent training.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Passport.
• Previous service experience would be highly desired.
• Ability to obtain security clearance to customers and governmental facilities required.
• Previous Thin Film and Metrology experience would be an asset.
• Must be able to meet minimum qualifications to apply.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain analytical X-ray equipment across the United States.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems of X-ray equipment.
• Install and modify system software for equipment applications.
• Provide customer phone assistance for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Perform customer training on alignment and use of analytical systems.
• Complete installations of X-ray components and perform related maintenance and repairs.
• Submit weekly service reports and expense reports to the service manager.
• Work in a clean room environment and may travel internationally to learn new techniques.
