Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service medical laboratory analyzers in the greater Rock Island, IL area. The role requires a solid electronics background, overnight travel, and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities include installation, preventive maintenance, problem resolution with the Field Support Group, tool/parts inventory, and on-site training for operators. A certificate or AAS in electronics is required, and COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Requires a Certificate or AAS in electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of field service experience.
• Overnight travel required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation.
• Establish strong customer relations.
• Coordinate problem resolution within Field Support.
• Maintain car inventory of tools and parts.
• Provide on-site training on instrument operation.

Job description

No Relocation. Need to reside within the greater ROCK ISLAND, IL (QUAD CITIES AREA).

Service medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for this manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred. You will be servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater ROCK ISLAND, IL area.

Position requires a good electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting background.

Qualifications:

• A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required.
• Good experience with electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel will be required
• Minimum of 3 years experienceas a field service engineer
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be a plus.
• This job requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities:

• Will be involved with the installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instrumentation.
• Establish a good customer relations foundation.
• Coordinates problem resolution within the Field Support Group
• Maintain car inventory, such as tools, trunk stock (parts), etc.
• Provides basic on-site training regarding the operation of company instrumentation

Benefits:

• Base salary 65K - 85K depending on experience (overtime & performance bonus should add an additional 4K - 8K annually, probably more.).
