Job summary

Burke Porter, an Ascential Technologies Brand, is seeking an experienced field service technician to support automotive testing equipment on-site at customer facilities. You will install, start-up, maintain and test machinery on the plant floor, travel 50-90%, deliver training, and produce trip reports while coordinating with contractors and the customer team.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, the ability to work under pressure, and strong communication for safe operations and on-time

Qualifications

• BSEE with strong mechanical background preferred.
• Good working knowledge of machinery.
• 1-2 year’s field experience preferred.
• Willing to travel 50-90%.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of PLCs; ladder logic preferred.
• Experience with C programming preferred.
• Experience in closed-loop system tuning and identifying system characteristics a plus.

Requirements

• Knowledge of PLC’s, with ability to understand and read ladder logic preferred
• Able to understand electronic and computer hardware functionality and use knowledge to troubleshoot equipment to board level
• Experience with “C” programming preferred
