Job summary

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology is looking for a Field Service Engineer to service advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology systems at customer sites, primarily in Fremont, CA. The role combines mechanical, electrical, software, and customer support work in a hands-on environment.

You will troubleshoot complex systems, read schematics, and perform repairs, with travel including Germany for training.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex technical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Semiconductor industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Optics industry experience is a plus.

Role Description: This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing highly advanced ZEISS semiconductor systems used in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

The engineer will work directly at customer sites, primarily in the Fremont, CA area, supporting cutting-edge inspection and metrology technology. The position is very hands-on and combines mechanical, electrical, software, and customer support responsibilities.

• Provide hands-on service and support at customer locations
• Troubleshoot system issues and determine the best repair or maintenance solution
