Job summary

Guided Search Partners is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Charlotte area to service customers across the region. The role requires hands-on work with electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics and includes travel throughout the U.S. for coverage of multiple territories.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of customer-facing field service experience, be able to read schematics, and adapt to travel-heavy schedules including Mon-Fri weeks when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer-facing field service experience.
• Hands-on experience with electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to travel regionally and across the U.S.; may include trips to Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.
• Travel may include Monday to Friday some weeks.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites in the Charlotte region and surrounding areas.
• Support accounts regionally and nationally as needed.
• Read and interpret schematics and diagrams to diagnose issues.

Our client is an established manufacturer of instruments used for material testing and analysis. These instruments are used in a variety of industries including aerospace, metals, auto, medical and other industrial product manufacturers. They are looking for a Field Service Engineer in the Charlotte area to cover accounts in the region. This role will involve traveling to customers in the region but also include travel around the country to support other territories if needed.
