Advantage Technical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and support digital printing equipment in the Black River Falls, WI area. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal equipment performance for customers.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree, 3+ years in field service, strong diagnostic skills, and excellent customer service. Travel as needed; opportunities to work with cutting-edge digital printing technology.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or diploma in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of field service or equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Experience reading electrical circuits and using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Experience with digital printing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission digital printing equipment at customer locations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and print quality issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and equipment upgrades.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Train operators on equipment operation, maintenance, workflow, and troubleshooting.
• Coach customers during production ramp-up and startup phases.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate reports.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure successful customer implementation.
