Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Service Dispatcher to organize daily dispatch of Field Service Technicians across a metro area, ensuring safe, timely service and high customer satisfaction. You will coordinate with branch managers and inside sales reps to schedule calls and exchanges and drive service efficiency.

Responsibilities include dispatch optimization, time measurement, customer relations, invoicing, and on-call scheduling while maintaining safety standards and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, schedule and dispatch Technicians within the Centralized branch territory to maximize efficiency.
• Drive accurate Service Repair time measurement by ensuring procedures are followed.
• Support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone, handling equipment location or delivery time changes.
• Balance equipment repair with PM currency demands of on-rent equipment.
• Ensure necessary service vehicle parts inventory.
• Prioritize equipment repairs to minimize Service Repair time.
• Schedule off-hour/emergency on-call duty with all field technicians.
• Manage and process invoicing of Field Service Customer Owned Equipment repairs, damage/abuse, and warranty claims.
• Assign specific service trucks as required.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and accountability through proactive communication.
• Other duties as needed.
