Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Houston seeks a Field Service Dispatcher (CES) to organize daily dispatch of Field Service Technicians for a metro area, ensuring safe and timely service calls and exchanges.

You will collaborate with Centralized Branch/Operations Managers, Service Managers and Inside Sales Reps to keep operations running smoothly while prioritizing safety, reliability and customer service. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, schedule and dispatch Technicians within the Centralized branch territory utilizing system resources and map module to maximize efficiency.
• Drive accurate Service Repair time measurement by ensuring compliance with procedures.
• As needed, support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone, making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment location or delivery time.
• Balance equipment repair with PM currency demands of on-rent equipment.
• Ensure necessary service vehicle parts inventory.
• Prioritize equipment repairs as necessary to minimize Service Repair time.
• Schedule off hour/emergency on-call duty with all field technicians.
• Ensure compliance with escalation procedure.
• Optimize use of overtime and outside.
• Manage and process invoicing of all Field Service Customer Owned Equipment repair, Damage/abuse and Warranty claim processes.
• Assign specific service trucks, as require.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and discipline through exemplary personal compliance, accountability and pro-active communication.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
