Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. is hiring a Field Service Mechanic in Houston, TX to repair and maintain rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment, plus forklifts. The role emphasizes service, diagnostics, and customer communication.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of crane repair experience, strong electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and the ability to travel. A high school diploma and own tools are required; company truck and tablet are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment.
• Annual certifications and inspections.
• Ability to perform tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Computer literate with the ability to process information.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting various crane brands (Manitowoc, Grove, Terex, Tadano, Broderson, Kobelco, Liebherr).
• A history of safe work habits.
• Must supply own hand tools and keep up-to-date tool inventory of service trucks.
• Have a clean driving record and can drive a company service truck.
• High school diploma required; vocational training a plus.

Responsabilités

• Repairing and maintaining crane equipment (rough terrain, crawler, mobile) and forklifts with focus on service and repair.
• Must have a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in mechanical diagnosing, repair, and maintenance of mobile crane equipment.
• On-call nights and weekends for crane repairs at customer sites.
• Travel on short notice and overnight stays as required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, supervisors, and other personnel.
• Reading schematics (hydraulic and electrical) is essential.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
