Bigge Crane and Rigging is seeking a Field Service Mechanic in Gonzales, LA. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment, including forklifts, with emphasis on service and repair.

The candidate must be willing to travel for extended periods, work on-call nights/weekends, and communicate professionally with customers and supervisors. Tool inventory must be kept updated.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years repairing and maintaining crane equipment.
• Able to read schematics (hydraulic and electrical).
• Willing to travel for extended periods.
• Own hand tools required.
• Clean driving record and able to drive company truck.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining crane equipment with focus on service and repair.
• Travel for extended periods; on-call nights and weekends.
• Communicate effectively with customers and supervision.
• Read schematics for hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Assist with assembling/disassembling crawler cranes is a plus but not required.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
