Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled crane mechanic to repair, service, and maintain rough terrain, crawler, and mobile cranes as well as forklifts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems, with 3–5 years of experience in mobile crane diagnostics and maintenance. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment.
• Perform annual certifications and inspections.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Computer literate with ability to process information.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting multiple crane lines (Manitowoc, Grove, Terex, Tadano, Broderson, Kobelco, Liebherr).
• Must supply own hand tools and maintain tool inventory.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment, and forklifts.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and hydraulic/electrical control systems.
• Read schematics (hydraulic and electrical) and perform inspections.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew.
• Work in shop during evenings/weekends for crane repairs.
• Ensure safe operation and documentation of services.
