Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to repair and maintain rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment, with a focus on service and repair.

You will travel extensively, read electrical and hydraulic schematics, and work on forklifts and other cranes at customer sites. A high school diploma is required; 3+ years' experience and willingness to travel are essential; competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment.
• Willing to travel for extended periods.
• Reading schematics (hydraulic and electrical) required.
• Must lift up to 40 lbs.
• Clean driving record and able to drive company truck.
• High school diploma required; higher education a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain crane equipment and forklifts with focus on service and repair.
• Travel on short notice; on-call nights and weekends.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team.
• Perform annual certifications and inspections.
• Read schematics; assembling/disassembling cranes is a plus.
