Job summary
Bruker is seeking a field service engineer in New Jersey to install, qualify, and upgrade Nano Surfaces and Metrology instruments. You will troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical hardware/software issues for customer sites and lead teams when needed.
Expect extensive travel, on-site training, and preventative maintenance to maximize instrument performance. The role requires 5+ years of related experience or 3 years with a Bachelor's, and a strong foundation in physics, electronics, and control
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Technical degree; or 3 years and a Bachelor degree; or a Masters degree without experience.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical instrument issues.
- Experience in training customers and providing technical resources to users.
Responsibilities
- Install and qualify Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology instruments, upgrades, and accessories.
- Diagnose instrument issues with customers and develop efficient solution plans.
- Lead teams when issues exceed own scope using engineering problem solving methods.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of instruments and accessories.
- Provide post-sale training and support, empowering customers to optimize instrument performance.
