Job summary

Schneider Electric in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a building security technician responsible for diagnosing, installing, and maintaining Access Control, CCTV, Network, Visitor Management and other security systems at Lyndhurst and occasional NYC sites.

You will provide on-site customer support, perform preventative maintenance, document startup and commissioning, and handle on-site training, emergency and after-hours service while adhering to safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security technician experience with installation or service.
• Experience with analog and digital CCTV installation and/or service.
• Experience with Access Control systems installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• OSHA 30 and SST highly preferred.
• Genetec, Lenel, AMAG, or Commend certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, install, troubleshoot, maintain, and integrate security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Network).
• Provide on-site technical support and customer training.
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and startup documentation.
• Install, replace, and recommission system devices with proper records.
• Provide on-site training, emergency and after-hours support, and adhere to safety requirements.
• Assist in field startup, material logistics, and demonstrate engineering tool proficiency.
