Job summary

Sentrillion is seeking a Security Systems Technician to join our Newark, NJ area team. You will install, configure, test, and repair low voltage networks, surveillance cameras, card readers, and access control devices, ensuring reliable operation across complex environments.

Responsibilities include IT system setup, wiring, procurement coordination, and delivering QA/QC feedback along with final project deliverables.

Qualifications

Associates degree (AAS preferred) from an accredited institution that requires 2 years' experience may be substituted for the degree, or certification and experience.
3 Years' relevant computer or installation experience.
Experience with IP camera installation and maintenance preferred.
Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining low voltage physical security and VMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, set up and troubleshoot low voltage infrastructure for network, physical security systems, and low voltage electronics systems.
Apply working knowledge of physical security system devices, major components such as, cameras, card readers, control panels and power supplies, biometric devices, electronic strikes, mortise, and magnetic locks.
Evaluate performance of installed equipment; provide on-going QA/QC feedback.
Install, set up and troubleshoot all information technology systems to include Windows Operating System Configurations.
Demonstrate knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
