Job summary

Interface Systems is seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician to diagnose and resolve issues across intrusion, fire, video surveillance, and networked systems. You will install, service, and test wired/wireless solutions, train customers, and maintain inventories in a field role.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, travel as needed, and adhere to OSHA and safety policies. Valid US work authorization and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• NICET Certification is a plus.
• 2+ years field technician experience in electronic security preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Comfortable with small hand tools and power tools.
• Pass state/federal background checks to be a registered security installer.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain Intrusion, Fire, Video Surveillance, Network and VoIP systems.
• Train customers on Interface provided systems.
• Maintain inventory and perform physical counts.
• Install and terminate network and security cabling; firestopping penetrations.
• Coordinate with vendors and customers for each project.
• Travel to field sites; work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Maintain vehicle and tools.
