Job summary

Interface Systems in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Security Alarm Technician to install, repair, and service intrusion, fire, video surveillance and access control systems. You will perform field network wiring, cabling, and customer training on Interface solutions with a focus on safety and quality.

This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to travel overnight, and comfort working outdoors. The company provides tools, a company vehicle and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of field experience in electronic security installations and service.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.
• Experience with telecom, data, security and wireless systems.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain Intrusion, Fire, Video Surveillance, Network and VoIP systems.
• Work in the field using efficient methods to resolve service issues.
• Train customers on Interface provided systems.
• Maintain inventory levels and conduct physical counts.
• Document inventoried items per company policy.
• Install and terminate network and security cabling; firestop penetrations.
• Adhere to OSHA safety policies; interface with customers and vendors.
• Hands-on field interaction; manage vehicle and tools; possible on-call rotation.
