Job summary

Interface Systems, LLC in Gaithersburg, Maryland is seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician to install, service and maintain intrusion, fire, video surveillance, network and VoIP systems. You will work in the field, solve issues, train customers, and coordinate with vendors across projects.

The role requires hands-on field experience, a valid driver’s license, NICET certification a plus, and the ability to read technical drawings. A company vehicle and tools are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical preferred.
• NICET certification is a plus and valid driver’s license is required.
• Verifiable field experience installing telecom, data, security and wireless systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain Intrusion, Fire, Video Surveillance, Network and VoIP integrated systems.
• Work in the field to diagnose and resolve service issues using efficient methods.
• Train customers on Interface-provided systems.
• Maintain inventory levels and document items per policy.
• Install and terminate network and security cabling; perform firestopping as needed.
• Interface with customers and vendors to coordinate projects.
