Job summary

Sysco is seeking an outside sales professional to promote our products and services and build strong relationships with new and existing accounts. The role may require evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer needs and sales goals.

Responsibilities include developing new business, qualifying prospects, researching customer needs, and providing product information and training. A valid driver’s license and insurance are required; basic MS Outlook skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within territory.
• Seek and qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
• Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet needs.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on business needs and goals.
• Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as value-added services.
• Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product use.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.
