Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field STEP Sales Representative to join the Medical Surgical Operating Unit, supporting the NJ and CO regions. This 18‑month rotational program builds clinical, technical, and commercial expertise while you learn product applications and engage with cross‑functional teams to drive business objectives across the assigned territory.

The role requires up to 75% travel, a valid driver’s license, and relocation within the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of experience, OR Associate's Degree with 2+ years, OR Bachelor's Degree in sales, clinical, medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or related experience.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 (if applicable).
• Ability to relocate within the United States and travel up to 75% with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical procedures and provide product support in operating room environments.
• Develop clinical and technical knowledge across Core Surgical, Gynecology, and Hernia product portfolios.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and existing customer accounts.
• Assist with sales activities, territory planning, and strategic product conversion initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to execute projects and business priorities.
• Analyze business and territory data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Participate in project reviews and implement process improvement recommendations.
• Engage with sales leadership and healthcare stakeholders to gain exposure to hospital structures and decision‑making processes.
