Job summary

Intertek is hiring a Sales Representative for Arlington Heights, IL to support the Electrical team. The role involves direct sales to industrial, home appliance and electronics sectors, with heavy client visits and trade show participation.

The position offers a base salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000 plus monthly incentive eligibility based on sales goals, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Travel requirement is approximately 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of prior successful sales experience.
• Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentations.

Responsibilities

• Sell Intertek’s services within assigned vertical, account, and territory through client research, prospecting, and networking.
• Work with Sales Manager to define and develop territory to increase sales.
• Spend at least 50% outside the office engaging clients.
• Meet with customers via presentations and trade shows.
• Write and follow up on proposals with appropriate standards and pricing.
• Provide outstanding customer service and meet activity targets.
• Log activity into iConnect and prepare forecasts as required.
