Responsibilities

• Read and apply test methods and test specifications provided by engineering for EUT (equipment under test).
• Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing.
• Set up and operate EUT; perform and document simple repairs on EUT as needed.
• Perform testing of products in accordance with standards (input rating, temperature, leakage current, dielectric, grounding impedance, etc.).
• Develop and set up test plans.
• Set up and operate standard test equipment (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multimeter, dielectric strength tester, etc.).
• Use hand tools to build/calibrate test fixtures.
• Follow sample handling procedures and log samples.
• Move equipment and package samples for shipment.
• Maintain equipment and facilities.
• Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
• Wiring to identify and connect complex branch circuits (single phase, split phase, 3-phase).
• May communicate with clients and management.
