Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Technician II to join our Electrical team in Arlington Heights, IL. You’ll support engineers, perform electrical/performance tests, write reports, and communicate with clients to ensure safety and compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years of hands-on electrical experience, with familiarity of ANSI, UL/CSA, and related standards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and development opportunities in a global testing network.

Qualifications

• > High school diploma or equivalent.
• <br>2+ years of electrical, mechanical, and/or hands-on equipment experience.
• <br>Understanding of safety standards (ANSI, IES, CIE, NEMA, UL/CSA).
• <br>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• <br>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Read test methods and specifications for EUT.
• Set up and operate EUT, perform and document repairs.
• Perform testing per standards (input rating, temp, leakage, dielectric, grounding, etc).
• Develop and set up test plans.
• Operate and calibrate test fixtures and instruments.
• Move equipment and package samples for shipment.
• Maintain equipment and facilities.
• Communicate with clients and management.
