Job summary

Graybar, based in Wisconsin, seeks an Outside Sales Representative to develop new prospects and maintain contacts with existing customers in person at customer sites and other off-site locations.

You will meet or exceed the annual gross margin budget, handle complaints, and keep management informed of market conditions while traveling extensively, including overnight trips. A base salary starts at $45,000 with bonus eligibility based on sales performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of sales experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• 4-year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales and marketing.
• Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities.
• Ability to work independently to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in the assigned territory.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs and suggest new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records and assist in past due collections.
