Job summary

Rexel USA in Omaha, NE is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to drive growth for the Gexpro team. You will build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, promote product lines, and deliver solutions that meet client needs.

The role requires a proven sales background in electrical or related industries, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Travel and driving are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales or electrical industry experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• High School or GED - Required
• Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs
• Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive decisions with influence
• Product and application knowledge essential
• Highly self-motivated
• Familiar with Microsoft Office as well as relevant ERP systems and Customer Relation Management Tools (CRM)

Responsibilities

• Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products; communicate features and benefits
• Increase business by generating sales to new customers and additional products to existing customers
• Collaborate with leadership and suppliers to plan, track, and implement sales strategies
• Assist customers with product selection and application utilizing knowledge and supplier reps
• Establish and maintain customer relationships
• Collaborate on quotations and provide ongoing communication during purchasing lifecycle
• Coordinate with management, credit, and customers to resolve payment issues promptly
• Gather and report market intelligence to management
• Participate in training and development to enhance selling skills and product knowledge
• Maintain accurate records of sales calls and expenses
